Man hits pregnant woman's stomaCk, pours Coffee on her beCause of 'thank you'

The New York Police Department is currently on the hunt for a man who attacked a pregnant woman after she failed to thank him for holding the door open.

The assault happened inside the Chelsea Houses complex in NYC on March 5.

While the 22-year-old victim, Lakeeya Walker, was entering the building, the alleged suspect, 32-year-old Darryl Guillyard was leaving.

The man opened the door for Walker to come in but, when the woman didn’t say “thank you,” he threw hot coffee in her face and started punching her in the stomach.

Walker, who was seven weeks pregnant at the time of the incident, told officers her attacker said, “I’m going to kick this baby out of your womb,” while he pummeled her several times and then fled.

Walker credits her survival to her ability to dodge his punches.

Walker was transported to Lenox Hill Hospital after the attack, where she suffered extensive bruising and a blood clot near the fetus’ head. Luckily, doctors said mother and child are expected to make a full recovery.
